Refund & Billing Policy
BUCKSSHOT
1. Purpose
1.1 This Refund & Billing Policy (“Policy”) governs all fees, billing practices, and refund considerations relating to paid trophy placements on the Bucksshot mobile application (“Platform”), which is owned and operated by KH Technologies (Pty) Ltd (“KH Technologies”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
1.2 This Policy forms part of and must be read together with the Terms of Service.
2. Free and Paid Placements
2.1 Each registered user is entitled to publish up to four (4) trophy placements at no cost.
2.2 Any additional placements beyond the initial four (4) free placements are subject to fees determined by KH Technologies from time to time and displayed within the Platform prior to purchase.
2.3 Publication of a paid placement will only occur once payment has been successfully processed.
3. Pricing and Payment Terms
3.1 All applicable fees will be displayed within the Platform before a purchase is confirmed.
3.2 By purchasing a paid placement, the user authorises KH Technologies to process payment using the selected payment method.
3.3 KH Technologies may make use of secure third-party payment processors to facilitate transactions.
3.4 Payment information is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
3.5 KH Technologies reserves the right to amend pricing for future placements on reasonable notice within the Platform.
4. No Endorsement of Paid Placements
4.1 Payment for additional placements does not constitute verification, endorsement, promotion, or certification of any trophy, hunt, or content displayed.
4.2 All content remains user-generated and subject to the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use & Content Policy.
5. Refund Policy
5.1 Fees paid for published placements are non-refundable once the placement has been successfully made visible within the Platform.
5.2 Notwithstanding the above, KH Technologies may consider refunds in the following circumstances:
5.2.1 Duplicate or erroneous charges;
5.2.2 Technical failure preventing publication of the paid placement;
5.2.3 Incorrect billing attributable to a system error; or
5.2.4 Other exceptional circumstances where fairness and applicable law require a refund.
5.3 No refunds will be granted where content is removed, restricted, or modified due to:
5.3.1 Breach of the Terms of Service;
5.3.2 Violation of the Acceptable Use & Content Policy; or
5.3.3 Unlawful, misleading, or inaccurate user-provided content.
6. Processing of Refunds
6.1 Where a refund is approved, KH Technologies will process the refund within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days from the date of approval, using the original payment method where practicable.
7. Cancellations
7.1 Users may cancel a purchase prior to publication of the placement, in which case no charge will be finalised.
7.2 Once a paid placement has been published and made accessible via its barcode identifier, the service is considered rendered for purposes of digital content delivery.
8. Consumer Protection Compliance
8.1 Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any rights that users may have under applicable consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
8.2 Where required by law, KH Technologies will provide remedies, including refunds or corrections, in accordance with statutory obligations.
9. Disputed Charges
9.1 If a user believes that a charge has been processed incorrectly, they must notify KH Technologies via the in-app contact channel or designated billing support contact within a reasonable time after the transaction.
9.2 KH Technologies may request supporting information to investigate the dispute and determine an appropriate resolution.
10. Fraud and Unauthorised Payments
10.1 KH Technologies reserves the right to suspend or cancel transactions where fraud, unauthorised use of payment methods, or unlawful activity is suspected.
10.2 In such cases, KH Technologies may cooperate with payment processors and relevant authorities to investigate the matter.
11. Records and Invoicing
11.1 KH Technologies may retain billing records and transaction histories for purposes of:
11.1.1 Financial reporting;
11.1.2 Legal compliance; and
11.1.3 Resolution of disputes or complaints.
11.2 Users may access transaction summaries within their account where such functionality is provided.
12. Amendments
12.1 KH Technologies reserves the right to amend this Refund & Billing Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after any amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
13. Contact
13.1 All billing queries, refund requests, and payment-related complaints must be submitted via the in-app contact channel or to the designated billing contact details published by KH Technologies (Pty) Ltd within the Platform.
